학사과정 학생을 위하여 아래와 같이 Honor Program을 안내하오니 희망하는 학생은 신청하시기 바랍니다.

1. Honor Program 이란?
   성적이 뛰어난 학사과정 학생이 일정한 자격을 갖춘 경우 이를 영예롭게 하기 위하여 Honor Student라고 부르고, 석사 및 박사과정 교과과정을 학사과정 재학시 이수할 수 있게 허용하는 Program 임.

2. Honor Student의 자격기준
   신청학기 포함하여 재학기간 6학기 이내의 학사과정 학생이 직전학기까지 81학점 이상을 취득하고 성적평균이 3.7 이상인 경우, 지도교수와 학과장의 추천을 받아 ‘Honor Student'신청가능.
다만, 2006학번 이전 학생으로 연차초과 되지 않은 경우에 한하여, “재학기간 6학기 이내” 조항에 관계없이 Honor Student 자격기준(직전학기까지 81학점 이상을 취득하고 성적평균이 3.7 이상인 경우)을 만족하는 경우에는 신청가능.

3. 혜택
   ①Honor Student는 과목 담당교수의 승인을 얻어 석사 또는 박사과정에 개설된 교과목을 이수할 수 있으며, 이와 같이 취득한 학점은 학사과정 졸업학점에 산입 한다.
   ②Honor Student가 학사과정에서 취득한 석사 또는 박사과정 교과목 학점은 석사과정에 입학하여 1년 이내에 학점인정을 신청하여 석사과정 학점으로 인정받을 수 있다. 다만, 학사과정 졸업 시 최종 평균평점이 3.7 이상인 경우에 한한다.

4. Honor Student 신청
Honor Students 신청서(붙임1)와 성적표를 첨부하여 지도교수와 학과장의 추천을 받아 학과/전공을 경유 학적팀으로 제출하야야 함. 단, 2010학년도 가을학기부터 별도 신청기간 없이 수시접수 함.

Introduction to Honor Program

Honor Program is provided as below for undergraduate students, hoping that many students would participate in it.

1. Honor Program
In order to honor an undergraduate student who is qualified with outstanding grades, the student shall be called ‘Honor Student’and able to take the courses of graduate curriculum while being in undergraduate program. 

2. Qualification for an Honor Student
If an undergraduate student who is within 6 semesters, has earned 81 or more credits and got GPA of 3.7 or above by the immediate past semester shall be recognized as ‘Honor Student’ with recommendations from his/her academic advisor and the head of the department. However, if the student who entered before 2006 but does not past the regular length of time for study in the Bachelor’s Degree Program, isqualified for being an Honor Student(earned 81 or more credits and got GPA of 3.7 or above), this can be applied regardless of ‘the period of enrollment is within 6 semesters.’

3. Benefits
1) The Honor Student can take the course of graduate curriculum with an approval of the faculty in charge of the course, and the earned course credits through this can be added into the total credits for undergraduate graduation.   
2) The earned course credits through the Honor Program in undergraduate program can be counted as the course credits of Master’s Degree Program by applying for recognizing the credits within a year of entering the master’s program. However, it is only if the total GPA for undergraduate graduation is 3.7 or above.

4. Application
An application for Honor Student and academic records should be submitted into the Academic Registrar’s Team, via recommendations from one’s academic advisor and the head of the department, during a every semester.
