The Global Advisory Board (GAB) is the external committee composed of international academic and industrial professionals. The GAB supports setting up the goals and the strategic directions for the education and the research of the department by providing the objective perspectives from the outside of the KAIST. The GAB meets every other year.

KAIST에서는 학교의 글로벌화를 지향하기 위한 정책의 일환으로 학과에 대한 국제적인 자문을 통하여 바람직한 운영방향을 도모하고자 EAC(External Advisory Committee) 제도를 시행하고 있으며, 우리 항공우주공학전공에서는 GAB(Global Advisory Board) 명칭으로 운영하고 있다.GAB는 매 2년마다 개최되고 있다.

The department is collaborating with various industrial partners to jointly lead the aerospace industry of Korea. The Industrial Advisory Board (IAB), representing the industrial partners, provides valuable inputs to the department to achieve and maintain the excellence in research and education.

The IAB meeting is held in every other year.

KAIST 항공우주공학전공에서는 국방과학연구소, 한국항공우주연구원, (주)한국항공우주산업, (주)LIG넥스원, (주)쎄트렉아이, (주)한화, (주)대한항공 등 항공우주분야 관련 연구소 및 산업체와 유기적이고 상호 보완적인 협력을 통하여 기술개발 및 연구성과를 도모하고자 활발한 교류를 진행하고 있으며, 우수한 인력 양성을 위하여 노력하고 있다. 이를 위하여 IAB(Industrial Advisory Board)를 운영하고 있는 바, IAB도 2년에 한 번씩 개최되고 있다.
