Professor Alper Erturk, Visiting Professor from Georgia Tech, delivered a special online lecture on AE830: Smart and Meta-Structures (from piezoelectric energy harvesting to metamaterial-based vibration attenuation). The lecture’s advanced materials received positive response from a large number of students. Professor Erturk is an ASME and SPIE fellow, and is an internationally renowned research with over 16,000 citations. Our department aims to invite more eminent professors to provide high-quality lectures to our students.
