In addition to commitment to research excellence in terms of publications and external research funding, the candidate is expected to contribute to the department’s system-centric education activities including undergraduate design courses. An application by a competent candidate from any relevant discipline is welcome.
This year, candidates with demonstrated technical expertise, creativity, and leadership in the following areas are sought with priority: (a) Guidance, Navigation, & Control, and (c) Propulsion & Combustion.
(a) Space Systems and Applications including but not limited to design & operations of space systems, space missions, and space sciences
(b) Theoretical and Computational Aerodynamics including but not limited to low/high-speed aerodynamics, turbulence/transition, aeroacoustics, aeroelasticity
