Laboratory Introduction
The MAI Lab focuses on developing and deploying advanced diagnostic and sensing technologies for aerospace systems. Research integrates AI, robotics, optics, RF, and signal processing to enable deep learning-based damage diagnosis, automated inspection, noncontact and wireless sensing, and space environment threat simulation. Core technologies include laser ultrasonics, stealth measurement, embedded wireless sensors, and Smart Hangar technology. Application areas span airplanes incluing UAVs and missiles, space launchers, satellites, electronic devices, wind turbines, power plants, railway structures, and public safety infrastructure.
