- Ji-min Choi (B.S.) wins the 2022 Whole Person Development Award

Ji-min Choi , an undergraduate student in Aerospace Engineering (AE) department, was selected as the winner of the 2022 Whole Person Development Award and has received the KAIST Development Foundation Chairperson’s prize. The KAIST Development Foundation Chairperson's Award is given to students with excellent volunteer work and research activities other than course grades.
Since her first year, Ji-min has shown a strong interest in research by participating in the Can Satellite Experience Contest. She developed algorithms for obstacle avoidance and path planning, placed them on drones, and tested them for autonomous flying in D.hive. Additionally, she sought to contribute to the society and worked as a blog reporter for the Ministry of Science and ICT for two years, writing various science and engineering articles for those without professional background.
Ji-min is planning to pursue a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and hopes to grow her research potential and experience.
