The AE department held the 2nd Hong Chang-Sun Scholarship Award Ceremony on 1st April, 2022.
The Hong Chang-Seon Scholarship was founded by the generosity of the late Professor Hong’s 44 former students to honor his academic passion and achievements.
Professor Hong was a faculty member of the AE department, who also served as the 11th President of KAIST, the member of the 17th National Assembly as well as the President of the Korean Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences (KSAS).
With Professor Hong's successes and spirit in mind, the scholarship recipients, Assefa Kalkidan Aschalew and Jin-Young Yun in the undergraduate program, and Kyu-Jin Lee in the Master's program, are expected to become exceptional talents in the aerospace area.
