Dept. of AE was selected for Future Space Education Center for advanced space technology education and R&D by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
For the project of “space communications with multi-mission low-earth-orbit satellite constellations,” 6 AE labs will collaborate with Dept. of ME, EE, SatRec, Satrec Initiative, Hanwha Systems, ETRI, and KT Sat for inter-disciplinary R&D and nurturing of future talent in the space technology.
A special education track and industry scholarship/internship programs will support more than 30 grad students every year and guide their career path in space industry and research institutes. The center will be financed with 6.3 billion KRW in total for next five years by the Korea government, Satrec Initiative, and Hanwha Systems.
