Prof. Hyochoong Bang of our Department received Medal of Leap in Science and Technology by Korean Government on April 21, 2023, National Science Day. Prof. Bang is honored with his 20-year long contributions to satellite attitude control, Cubesat systems, autonomous drones, and advanced researches in defense technology. He is also acclaimed to play a leading role in promoting academic society and aerospace education.
He is currently director of Theatre Defense Research Center and served as President of the Korean Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences in 2021. He is also a technical committee member of International Astronautical Congress(IAC).
