On December 5, 2023, the "7th Future Aerospace Conference" organized by KAIST's Department of Aerospace Engineering and the Air Force Academy was held at the Air Force Academy's Ahn Jung-geun Hall. This conference was attended by 1,000 people from 56 undergraduate and graduate programs in five sub-divisions, including space, aviation, policy, strategy, and graduate students. In the first to fourth sub-divisions, in which cadets and general college students participated, one grand prize (Minister of Defense Award) was selected, while the best teams for each sub-division were also selected: the Air Force Chief of Staff Award, the Excellence Award (Chief of the Air Force Academy Award), and the Participation Award (Special Award for Hanwha Aerospace). In addition, the KAIST President Award was awarded to the team with the best performance in the graduate student division. Each of the three teams with excellent performances was given a special LIG award. This event was sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense, Hanwha Aerospace, and LIG Nex1.
