Team licspace consisting of members of LICS (Prof. Han-Lim Choi) won The AIAA KSP Differential Game Challenge held during the event of 2024 AIAA SciTech Forum and Exposition.
This challenge, organized by AIAA and MIT Lincoln Lab, is to design autonomy software for satellite maneuvers in non-cooperative space operations. Participants developed algorithms on the open-source platform built by MIT Lincoln Lab on the basis of Kerbal Space Program game engine.
Team licspace exhibited best performance in all the mission scenarios of pursuit-evasion, sun blocking, and lady-bandit-guard engagement, outperforming other finalists including teams from MIT and Oklahoma State University.
