Team LiCS-KI consisting of members of LiCS (Prof. Han-Lim Choi) won The BARN Challenge held during the event of 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation.
This year marks the 3rd edition of the competition, which focuses on the latest autonomous driving technology in highly constrained environments. Participating teams developed autonomous driving algorithms and implemented them on Clearpath's JACKAL robot to compete in reaching the target point without collisions in narrow and obstacle-filled environments.
The LiCS-KI team advanced to the finals by breaking the record in the preliminary simulation and secured first place in the hardware competition finals by completing the course the most times among the participating teams.
