In June 2025, the Measurement Robotics and Diagnostic AI Lab (MAI Lab), led by Professor Jung-Ryul Lee at KAIST, was selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT’s “Lab-Specialized University Startup Initiative.”

This government-funded initiative aims to support the commercialization of outstanding university research. MAI Lab plans to launch a startup based on its core technology, the Scanning Freespace Measurement System.

On June 24, 2025 (Tuesday), MAI Lab signed the official project agreement and received a commemorative plaque during the signing ceremony.
