Laboratory Introduction

In the Computational Aerodynamics and Design Optimization Laboratory, which is run by professor Oh Joon Kwon, numerical simulations of the aerodynamic configurations, including airplanes, wind turbines, helicopters, underwater vehicles and launch vehicles, have been carried out. The aerodynamic performances, including aerodynamic coefficients and laminar-turbulent transition positions, are predicted from the simulations. In addition, the optimizations of the given aerodynamic configurations are carried out through the numerical computation.
