Professor Jiyun Lee will serve as the 8th civilian member following the 7th term of the Subcommittee for the Promotion of Space Development. 
Subcommittee for the Promotion of Space Development is a place to deliberate and finalize major agendas of the Ministry of Space Development from an expert perspective, or to review and deliberate agendas proposed by the National Space Council.
The civilian members of the Subcommittee for the Promotion of Space Development consisted of 12 civilian experts with extensive expertise and experience in the space field, and their term is two years.
