• 자기 소개

    I hail from a small town where, dreaming big isn’t common but despite all adversaries, I became a two-time recipient of the prestigious Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for undergraduate and master’s degree respectively, with which I pursued my dreams of becoming an Aerospace Engineer. While in Korea, I became the first international student to be awarded Gwangju city Mayor’s award for my contribution to the community, became the first international student to be elected to serve on the KAIST Council, and in 2025 became the first international student to give a valedictory speech at a KAIST Commencement. I am currently a PhD candidate of Aerospace Engineering at the Aerospace Systems and Control Lab., KAIST, where I am conducting research on satellite systems.

• 연구 소개

    With reference to remote sensing, Earth observation, and deep space exploration. My research focuses on the research, design and development of CubeSat optical imaging payloads. We utilize freeform optics and first order specifications to come up with robust optics design that will cater for modern day remote sensing and Earth observation mission requirement. These designs include but are not limited to hyperspectral, multi-spectral and general RGB imagers. Furthermore, we apply AI models to convert and process the CubeSat hyperspectral image raw data received.

    The fact that we are here, in this incredible institution, means that we had once dreamt! We must never let that dream die and who knows, we might all meet on Mars. And just in case you have given up on your dream, always remember that you can rekindle it today because ‘The future is the result of the decisions you make today!’
